ALLOY WHEEL SPEC

At ORES, we strive to create the best alloy wheels on the market. We take pride in our attention to detail, from the design and production of our wheels to our customer service. Our team is passionate about helping you find the perfect wheel to fit your vehicle.

We understand that alloy wheels are a major investment and we are here to help. Our website provides detailed information about wheel size specification, so you can be sure you’re getting the perfect fit for your car. We also provide a variety of customization options to make your wheels truly unique.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

There are three or four layers of paint and varnish layers on the surface of the wheels produced from Ores wheels. Paint layers provide protection against oxidation of the wheel and the color fading effect of ultraviolet rays. For paint layers to maintain these properties, the wheels should be cleaned only with water and detergent. Chemical cleaning materials with solvent additives may damage the wheel. When cleaning, it is important to use soft materials that will not damage the surfaces.

REPAIR & RENOVATION

In the production of aluminum alloy wheels, the chemical, structural and mechanical strength properties of the material are kept under control and supervision in every process to ensure the necessary safety conditions. Repairs and repairs made on the wheels using high heat such as shaping, welding, etc. pose a safety risk as they will change the material properties. Chip removal after straightening is risky as it will thin the wheel cross-section. Hub hole, lug hole and mounting surface (off-set surface) machining are precision machining and should not be performed in these areas. ETRTO (International Tire and Wheel Technical Organization) does not recommend the repair and use of damaged wheels

WARRANTY

The warranty start date is the date on the invoice and the warranty period is 3 years. Ores is not responsible for any problems caused using incorrect application, any subsequent modification on the product, the use of incorrect lug nuts, bracelets. Damages that may occur during use such as rubbing, impact, use of chemical materials are user error and are not covered by the warranty. Read the MAINTENANCE, ASSEMBLY, REPAIR and RECOMMENDATIONS sections.

Material, workmanship and manufacturing defects of the wheel and mounting accessories supplied with the wheels are covered by the warranty.

In case of complaint, information is provided by filling out the complaint form on our website where invoice, contact information, complaint subject and product photo information are requested. The complaint is examined by our company free of charge and a result report is issued. This period is maximum 30 days.

If Ores wheels fail due to material and workmanship defects within the warranty period and this situation is detected by our company, the wheels in question are replaced with new ones.

Failure to comply with the issues specified in the Ores' Assembly and Operating Instructions and defects arising during transportation outside the responsibility of Ores are not covered by the warranty.

For warranty problems, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, General Directorate for the Protection of Consumers and Competition can be applied to.

The use of this document numbered 110075 is authorized by the General Directorate of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance of the Ministry of Customs and Trade of the Republic of Turkey in accordance with the Law No. 4077 on the Protection of Consumers and the Regulation on the Implementation Principles of the Warranty Certificate put into force based on this Law.

ASSEMBLY

When selecting the wheels, vehicle compatibility check must be made from the Ores’ application table. The application kit specified as suitable for the vehicle in the application table must be used. The application number on the back of the arm of the wheels must be checked. After the assembly process is completed, it should be checked that the wheel and tire have no contact with the fender, brake caliper and suspension system. We do not recommend placing parts known as spacer or flange between the wheel and the hub. If this application is to be done for visual concerns, the lug nuts should be changed and the appropriate size lug nuts should be used. The lug bolts should be tightened mutually and gradually with the appropriate torque value. After 500 km. of use, the tightness of the lug nuts should be checked.

ETRTO (European Tire and Rim Technical Organization) recommends the use of metal valves on V, W, Y and ZR type tires used in passenger cars at speeds of 210 km/h and above.

Pros of Aluminum Alloy Wheels

The weight of a rotating part is much more important than the weight of a stationary part. Physically, the effect of the weight of the rotating part increases as the speed increases. Aluminum wheels are lighter than steel wheels. They improve driving comfort, braking performance and vehicle stability in proportion to their light weight.

Aluminum wheels produced with precision machining have better balance values.

Since they are lighter than steel wheels, they reduce the total vehicle weight and positively affect fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

The temperature in the brake discs of a standard passenger car rises above 200 ºC during braking. Cooling the discs is important for the brakes to work efficiently.  Aluminum wheels provide a rapid cooling thanks to their high thermal conductivity; They have a positive effect on braking safety, brake disc and pad life and tire life.

Aluminum wheels are perfectly compatible with tubeless tires.

They can be produced in a variety of designs and colors to meet the aesthetic expectations of different users.

INFORMATION ABOUT WHEELS

- In Turkey, it is a common misidentification that aluminum alloy wheels are known as steel wheels. There are generally four types of wheels according to their materials:

- Sheet metal wheels: They are produced from steel sheet material using cold forming methods. It is used in heavy commercial and agricultural vehicles with heavy working conditions rather than visuality and performance, as well as in passenger cars where low cost is required. Generally produced in black color. In passenger car use, a plastic cover is used to cover the front surface for visual improvement.

- Aluminum alloy wheel: With a wrong usage, it is generally defined as steel wheel in our country. Low pressure cast aluminum alloy wheels are generally divided into two as heat treated and non-heat treated. In recent years, it has become widespread to further lighten the wheels with the flow form method. Another type of aluminum alloy wheels is Forge (forging). They are produced by machining from forged aluminum billet material. Although the alloy content of aluminum wheels varies slightly depending on the type of material, it consists of 90% aluminum, 10% silicon and metals such as Magnesium, Titanium, Strontium.

- Magnesium alloy wheels: Used in top class motorsports due to their very high cost.

- Composite wheels: These wheels have the lightest structure among all wheel types. It is possible to see them used in vehicles defined as exotic. They are not preferred in motorsports because their heat conductivity is very low compared to light alloy metal wheels.

RECOMMENDATIONS and IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The fact that the wheel is mountable does not mean that it is suitable for the vehicle. The wheel must be designed for the vehicle weight and tested and approved under appropriate conditions. The wheel is a safety part, check from the application table that it has the appropriate geometric characteristics and the appropriate load capacity.

The wheel you have purchased must be able to be mounted on the vehicle without any work being done on it. If it is necessary to process the lug holes or the hub hole, that wheel is not manufactured for your vehicle. Post-processing cannot be expected to be done with the precision applied by the manufacturer.

There should be no paint or deformation on the surface where the wheels contact the vehicle (off-set surface).

There must be no paint on the lug bolt seating surfaces in the holes of the wheel.

The quality of the lug nuts used is important, if they are compatible with the wheel, original lug nuts or lug nuts provided by the wheel manufacturer should be used.

Lug nuts are available in two types: conical and spherical. The lug hole geometry of the wheel and the geometry of the wheel must be the same.

Wheels of suitable diameter and width for the vehicle should be preferred. As Ores wheels, we recommend not to enlarge more than 2" in diameter and 1" in width according to the original size.

Winter tires should be used when the air temperature drops below +4 ºC. Winter tire is a tire produced with easily warming compound. It is very important for safety as it does not lose its grip in cold weather. It is a mistake to be confused with snow tires.

ETRTO (European Tire and Wheel Technical Organization) recommends the use of metal valves in V, W, Y and ZR type tires used at speeds of 210 km/h and above in passenger cars.

ETRTO (European Tire and Wheel Technical Organization) does not recommend the repair and use of damaged wheels. (More information can be found in the repair and maintenance section)
